Visionary Art by Nicole Mizoguchi – Music Slideshow

We’ve been wanting to combine visual art with our soundtracks for some time. Like music, its easy when you work with great people. Its a simple principle. Find the right person and the process becomes fun and creative. Well we couldn’t have dreamed of a better person to create our first slide show with.

love.jpgOne day on MySpace I saw this awesome smile. Then I saw her truly inspiring, mind-opening artwork and had to express my appreciation. It turns out that Nicole is not only inspired and expert with a canvas, but very organized and has all her pieces brilliantly photographed. This by itself is a rare thing, and this is not counting the quality of her work!

Heres a look at one of her stunning pieces. Its called “Love”. Click on the thumbnail to see a larger version. Continue Reading »

Chillorado – A new musician and a new sound

Meet Kit Cotter.

Jazz aficionado, keyboard player, guitarist, percussionist, vocalist and drummer. Oh and he writes songs and composes soundtracks! Have we missed anything out??

We first met Kit when he did some keyboards on Blossomheads album, Dream Beautiful. We were blown away.

His musicianship was fantastic and he had an inherent feeling for the part that would complement the song. He even created the main parts for a song called “We Were Friends”. He played the Keyboards, Guitar and brought the song into focus in one session. Continue Reading »

Meet the one and only Susan Brown – Laughter Yoga Teacher

Susan BrownIn late 2005 I recorded an album called “Lets Laugh” with Susan at my studio in Mapleton, Australia. She teaches laughter as a skill. You could call it an approach to life, that helps us to accept ourselves and others using the gift of laughter. Read more about the album and download track samples. Listen to a sample of Susan’s introduction from the CD here.

I realized much later the profound effect this project had on me. Being exposed to laughter in this way gives you the sense that happiness is a choice, not something that just happens if you are lucky. I am thrilled that Susan and I are once again working together and invite the vibrancy and approach to life that she teaches. What follows is an example of what Susan does with her laughter teaching. It is a testimonial from laughteryoga.org that illustrates the kind of work she does with others. Continue Reading »

Blossomhead Interview – A Second Chance at Life

This article was published in The Range News, April 5th, 2007. Written by Arcadia Love.

Over the past few years I’ve had to face more than most people probably do in their lifetime.

Greg ReidWriter, artist, poet, songwriter, musician and father Greg Reid has indeed had more than his fair share of challenges.
From cancer and the ravages of chemotherapy, operations that involved replacing both hips and knees to deep issues surrounding life, death and relationships, Greg still feels he’s the luckiest man alive.

“There aren’t many people,” Greg said “Who get a second chance at life and the chance to face their death again. The first time I wasn’t ready, but I think I’ll be able to leave peacefully next time.”
Greg believes one of the reasons for him being given a second chance was to create his first album, ‘Dream Beautiful.’ A collaboration with long time friend, musician, producer and sound engineer Herrin Larkan, the album has taken the pair over seven years to complete. Continue Reading »
